Thread: how do you think izumi ended up in gantz in the first place

No one has ever questioned how izumi died the first time to get into gantz. My theory is that he was being an asshole and pissed off the wrong people, probably jumped by yakuza or something.

Well yes this does seem like how the Izumi we know now would die. But the thing is what if Izumi was different back then all we know was he was Nishi's leader.

Hmm.. so one told me that Izume left before Nishi's time. <<; I'm not that far in to the manga yet.. but I don't know how true that is. Well when it comes to Izume.. he's great at everything. Think about it how would a guy like that die in the first place? Most likely the mask he shows to every one other then the gantzers was his true self. So if he was this all around good guy.. what could have caused him to die? Most likely it was something he had no control over.. maybe he even commited suide? That would fit the bill with a life that forces you to be perfect.

Hey yah like Kishimoto. Sometimes you just need to get away from your troubles and when you cant death might seem the only way.

Suicide is for cowards, and Izumi is not a coward like Nishi and Kishimoto. (Even if I like both characters). The only one I can think could know the answer of this question is Hiss who can read Japanese. In the Gantz manual has to appear how Izumi died.

Hmm.. but like we've said.. who knows what he was like before. I know Izumi is not a coward.. and with his rational he would have seen it not being a coward but being strong. It was a way to take his own life in to his own has and show he didn't fear dieing. Most likey he would have done something top notch and something painful. Maybe even some type of ritual suide.. like seppeku. Not all people that take there lives are cowards.. some are completely insane. But who knows.. maybe he died in a car crash.. something he couldn't control.

He obviously died in an accident on MXC.

He probably lived a life just like Kurono's. Gantz improved him exponentially. That's why he was so obsessed with returning to it.

Suicide is a possibility... but imagine that he did have a perfect life, and that he actually enjoyed it. Then he died in some freak accident similar to Kurono's and Gantz has since mindfucked him to the point where he can't get enough of killing and stuff.
