Amd Athlon 3000+ (or 3Ghz, I can never remember which, but I know that they are different)

I've got:
AMD Athlon 64 4000+
ASUS A8N-SLI Premium
2GB PC3200 DDR RAM
GeForce 7800GTX (256 MB)
While I'd MUCH prefer to play this game on my PC, I'm thinking that I wouldn't be able to run it with the graphics options maxed with my current video card. I'd probably need the 512 MB version, or maybe an SLI setup, which I can't afford at the moment since I just pre-ordered an Xbox 360. Maybe I'll just get it on the Xbox 360 instead.
And no, I won't play this game on anything less than maxed graphics. I don't want to tarnish the experience.
(Even though I'm really into this series for the gameplay, it's kind of like the first big leap into the real next generation, so I want to experience it in full)

Graphics whore.
HAHAHAH, no. I still play PSX and SNES games and have no problem with the graphics whatsoever. I'm one of those rare people that still likes 2D over 3D in some cases. It has its own certain charm.
In this case though, I do want to experience the full glory of it. Ok, so I lied, I'd still play it on medium or low because I'm a huge Elder Scrolls fan, but if I can get it on the Xbox 360 for the same price and it'll look a lot better, I'd rather use that option.
Mods. kthxbye
And why, may I ask, do you want the mods to shut down your own thread, in which you tried to encourage discussion about Oblivion? As far as I can see, it hasn't gone off track yet. Or, did you not really intend there to be discussion in this thread, and just wanted to say "OMG OBLIVION IS GOING TO RULE, KTHXBYE!" and leave it at that?
He meant that you can mod the PC version, and no the Xbox360 version.
kxthxbye.
Indeed. kthxbye
Ok, so I misread that. Not hard to do when the poster is acting like a smart-ass, and his response consists of a single word. -_-Originally Posted by Aradiel

I haven't found a single decent mod focused around expanding the storyline or the game world (that has actually been finished). Most of them are unbalanced pieces of armour, or unbalanced weapons which I would consider cheating if I used them. The ones that aren't, well, aren't really worth downloading.
If it's going to be the same for Oblivion, then I suppose I can live without it. If anything really decent is made, or if I decide I want to make something myself, then I'll buy the PC version.

I've found plenty of good ones, adding new guilds, quests and even a TC (total conversion, if you didn't know)
[edit] Which is also not mentioning the many graphics upgrades that people have done (i.e. the Better Faces mod)
