Default 2D games vs 3D games

will 2D last or will 3D games wipe out 2D?

(i like 2D game better then 3D but mix them together *LF2* and the world will bow down)

you know that 2d games will last because they are classic, and for the 3d one's they have overtaken the market long ago,so 2d lost eventually, but dont worry.

When all is said and done, 2-D games will be wiped out except for the Classics. That is what we are already seeing, with only well-liked games being remade for Game Boy: Mario Series, for example. The same thing will happen to 3-D games, all the crap will never be remade and all that will be left will be the Classics.

Personaly I think that alot of 2D games will last on through . But then again I think alot of 2D games were funner to play then some of the 3D games. I guess people are to caught up in the grafics theyve forgotten the feeling you get from playing some of the old 2D games like Mario. Alot of games these days are just to much about the graphics and how many things you can make your guy do. Personally I think keep it simple but good.

don't under estimate 2D games...i have Playstation 2 (3D) and a Family Game (2D) and i like both. maybe because the 2D games are classic...like the Pac-man...Mario Bros...o games like Marvel Vs Capcom (from Playstation).and i can play Burnout Ravange , GTA: San andreas and Mario Bros...Pac-Man without geting bored...for me both are the same...-.-...

2D games are nice they focus on the simple part of fun hopefully and 3D games... some are just awful. 2D games easier to make and still my favorite although I mainly play 3D games nowadays except the times I play old games then you can remember the awesome goodness of 2D gaming.

2d games maybe old but they still ROCK!!!!

who can ever forget those simple but very difficult stages on those old megaman and mario games

who can ever forget those extremly fast movements of sonic the hedgejog on those old sega consoles

who can ever forget their first attempt to do a hadouken or sonic boom in street fighter II

2-d games are great but some of the action in 2d games can be very limited as opposed to 3d. although some 2d games are better such as gunbird and other anime games
