Default The Revolution: is it really that revolutionary?

The revolution's controller seemed like a crazy idea to me at first, but the more I've thought about it, the more it just seems like a novelty. I mean, it seems really different at first, but I'm sure if you got used to it, it wouldn't be all that much different than having a dpad or analog stick. Maybe the console might come out with some games that you just couldn't possibly do with a controller, which would be cool, but until/unless that happens I don't think the revolution really qualifies as revolutionary.

I believe it would be best to see some games in action that use the controller to the fullest, before we can claim that it's indeed a gaming revolution.

i think its supposed to be more about movemnt than just using it as a remote control...its going to be pretty cool to control a fps or say a swordfighting game like that.
    100% super crazy awesome!

I think its going to get boring fast if theres online that might be fun...does anybody know for sure if its going to have online? I also heard it was gonna be cheaper than the 360 and Ps3 thats probably true seeing as there going for a less hardcore gamer audience.

Well, the entire Nintendo back-catalogue is meant to be available by means of download, so I think it's safe to think they'd include some kind of online thing.

Especially with Nintendo's techniques of trying out new things before implementing them into everything else they make, and the fact that they've tried online stuff with the DS now.

Nintendo has been known to be a not very open company. Every year, they come out with Mario Party 423094848954564897564 and not much else. Also, not many multi-platform games are ever found on Nintendo systems.

If this changes with the Revolution, I'm willing to give that crazy controller a try.

Im gonna let friends buy it then *borrow* it from them for a while if I think its crap I'll give it back/throw it in the trash (its what I did with the 360) if its good its mine....
