Thread: shin megami tensei - devil saga

I'm new here.
anyone know about this game?
I was curios because it had a uniq picture in it. and also I had see the trailer from Shin megami tensei noctrune.

but I would like to know the others about it ^_^

if you like noctrune you'll definite loved the digital devil but it is more easier game.

This one the best looking rps in a while in my opinion, can't wait for the sequel.

Mind enlightening those of us that don't know this saga about it?

i believe the past series of shin megami tensei is about a hero who can use demons as allies.There are variety of storyline for its series.For instance,shin megai tensei:nocturne is about a teenager who survived a catastrophee(in this game it was called the conception)where all human beings are annihilated and only a handful survived.The hero than being turned into a half demon and try to solve the mystery behind the catastrophee while creating a new world using his power to communicate with demons,using them as allies.While digital devil saga is about the hero and his friends being forced to turn into a demon during their mission,and the appearance of a mysterious girl.This game will continue in digital devil saga 2.

I've played an beat Digital Devil Saga, and am currently playing Nocture.

Nocture seems to have one big advantage over most RPG's it has quite a bit of customization, sometimes it's a random customization though =(.

Shin Magami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga(DDS), was better than nocture, the English voice acting for Digital Devil Saga was wonderful, with an incredible intro, or before you even press start let your PS2 do its own thing and just watch their little preview of the game for you.

DDS has customization, but the only time you really need to get certain skills in the game is when you are going up against special bosses, think of it like ultima weapons in the final fantasy franchise. Hell the final special boss which you can only fight after you beat the game is even worse than any in all of RPG history =P so the faq says, and it is true, he is hard. He has a spell that does more than 1,000+ damage to a character with maxed out stats, and the max hp you can have is 999/999.

The customization allows all your characters to learn all of the same special abilties And if you master your entire Mantra board including Special boss mantras, you get a +3 to all stats at the start of the new game in DDS2m the sequel, and some special items.

The Shin Megami series started on NES and continued on PSX, Saturn, Game Boy, Mega CD and now ps2.

I think the only US Release was Persona 1 on PSX and Persona 2 (there exist 2 sequels to Persona 1 but only 1 was released in the US...)
