i bought the psp for my husband.

it keeps him off my ps2 while i'm trying to level up. that alone is worth it.

well theres a battery that extends the lifetime. New memory cards are good reason to get it. New games like syphon filter and killzone. As well as multiplayer GTA. Plus changing to the cover to silver is sexy.

DS has good games out though like Advance wars, Mario and Luigi partners in time and such. Also PSP is pretty heavy at an annoying 260g. It doesn't sound like much but try having it in your pocket all day. Its more about the size then weight.

The ds does have better games right now (that won't last long) and it has that stupid touch screen, but in what way is it better then a psp? cuz its not.

Although i am gonna end up buying one those new ds lights for some of the games comming out, the psp still rapes the ds.

and i rarly play a video gamee for more then 5 hours and if i do its gonna be at home where i can just plug it in.
Why is the DS better? It's probably not when you compare it directly to the PsP. Most people don't keep things in mind like the fact that the DS isn't supposed to be used for multimedia purposes. It wasn't intended for that, it was intended as a portable gaming device. The Touch screen is an inovative and useful feature to have. Due to the DS not having all those multimedia capabilities, it also costs a lot less than the PsP. It has better quality games than the PsP, and you can't go ahead saying 'it wont last', because you don't know that.
Nintendo is going to rule the portable gaming area for a while, and the DS still outmatches the PsP in sales.

ah... the tragedies of fanboiism... dude.. back up your statements with solid proof and dont go running off saying "stupid touch screen" or "the psp rapes the ds". To get your point of view out.. use solid stats and not idiotic fanboiism

even though the DS easily has the best cosole specific games(and this probably will never change) the PSP in my book has the ultimate trump card.

    EMULATION

Nothing beats booting up snes9.x tyl and playing SoM/SoM2, Chrono Trigger, and FFIII when you are tired with Liberty City Stories/MG AC!D

i dont like emulators. i just dont find them as fun. also how could you get a ds game as an emulator? you need 2 screens and a touch sensitive one!

yeah i thought about that but wouldnt that require reprogramming to the data? also would be slightly harder to control for games which need stylus and buttons. i also dont like having to use keyboard buttons for games with so few buttons. the reason consoles have that many buttons is because that is all they need. keyboards have far too many for simpler games and is just annoying. thats how i feel anyway
