I also loved Xenogears, but when we I reached Disc 2, it kinda got boring and frustrating, but I haven't beaten the game yet (im in the end where evrything is snowy and elly is not in your party anymore).
But apart from the reincarnation, what other Eastern influences are there? I am seriously interested, because I might have missed itOriginally Posted by Crazytype
are you talking about the story are the game as a whole? Then I would say chara and mech design.![]()
Fantastic game. Everyone seems to agree with the gripes about disk two, but what are you going to do? It still rocked. One crazy twist after another, and the jumps in the characters power through events as you progress throughout the game made things very interesting. Seemed a little less linear and more dynamic this way. And there is no need to comment on the story.
Also, Xenosaga is a prequel to Xenogears, not its sequel. Although I thought II was a bit disapointing, I am enjoying this series as well, especially seeing some of the references to Xenogears that are made. That damn "CHING!" sound and the cross on Nephelem freaked the hell out of me first time going through Ep. I.

Albedos monologues are so fun and creepy, I like him.![]()
i hated albedo's monologue's, it is so cheesy and boring. also i didnt like xenosaga with the fact that they just kept on going on and on about stuff that i had no clue about! like especially in the beginning of the game when you just start out playing, i didnt understand anything they were saying and all the terminilogies they were using (i was like what the heck has this got to do with anything?). also the game was very short. the game was too full of cut scenes, and overal, so little things happened is you look at the first xenosaga game as a whole. unlike final fantasy games and xenogears where a lot lot things happen and they go to many many places, in xenosaga i felt that there was not as much stuff to do. also i went and got all the agws, thinking that i would be able to carry it over to xenosaga episode 2, but you dont get anything by loading your old save game other than a suit. what a waste of my time!
