Thread: Indigo Prophecy... better known as SHIT SHIT NOT ENOUGH TIME

Well I've finally done it. I've started a game that might be the end of me. I have never seen my blood pressure rise so immediately, nor have I been so afraid for the welfare of my character until I played this game. Not only does the control system scare the living hell out of me with it's strange reactions and it's ability to make me miss a door, but the way all your decisions are timed could make a calm man go postal. And I love it. Every sickening moment of this godforsaken game of Simon Says. Why? Because I like good storytelling. When the cop was at the door in lucas's apartment and I had to find the keys DURING the timer, I screamed. Literally. How else do you cope with that kind of pressure? 2 retrys later I found it on the table, which I could have SWORN I looked at, but apparently not.

So has anyone else tried this game?

Still very linear. Though I did enjoy how those little things you did had a real effect on future events.

Yeah, they've gone the route of "interactive movie". The sad thing is, this means their control scheme has to be some monstrosity instead of a WASD setup.

No, actually, you couldn't. The whole point was to get you to talk your way out of jail time by smooth talking the cop.

So yesterday I played the office scene, and by god it was mind blowing. I don't want to spoil it for anyone else, so I won't say what happened but rest assured, if the rest of the game is that much fun, then I know I'll love it. It reminded me of that scene in the Matrix where Neo is at work and he's running through the cubicles. Except you don't have anyone on the other end of a phone telling you what to do. It's just you and your 2 Simon Say's bars duking it out with those... things. My heart was pounding in my chest.

The flash back to where Lucas and Marcus were kids was pretty damn good too, and lets you know that Lucas has had these abilities for a long time, even if he didn't know it himself.

Beat the game on PC a while back O.o...got it off torrent spy of course...really isn't worth buing if you ask me. I enjoyed the story till it got all sci fi and weird. In the beginning the premise was just so promising and i really felt it dropped the ball as the story progressed. In the beginning you really felt what you did affected the story and than you look back only one or two thing really affect the story o_o. And the thing that aggravated me most is you don't have control in the action sequences. There are some really suspenseful moments but basically you play a game of simon says while it unfolds. Kind of like Resident Evil 4 except all the freakin time! And if you fail you take a hit and you keep going till all your lives are gone. As far as puzzle games...this new premise for the next generation really has me optimistic about future games with it...but with this one it just falls short if you ask me, but if you can rent it or download it do. You'd love the demo as it is the highlight of the game if you ask me...lol.
