What the fuck are you talking about?

Metal Gear Solid 4 real-time video.
    Unreal Tournament 2007 real-time video.
    Alan Wake, etc
    So many non-prerendered videos...
It was labeled no-prerendered-stuff, but still the camera angles etc. werenīt those of the game, it was obviously a trailer.
Unreal tournament for example wasnīt shown on ps3 hardware, no game was shown on ps3 hardware, they used 2* Geforce 6800 ultra and it didnīt run smoothly.

If I see Metal Gear Solid running 4 on ps3 hardware (perhaps on Eģ 2006 or 2007), I will believe it, but after the ps2 Eģ show and the labeling of this formula 1 racing game on ps3, which they labeled as NPR and which obviously was not (4000*4000 textures, camera angles ) , Iīm a little sceptical.
Had I taken everything serious what Sony said, I would have demanded to pay 130 dollar for my PSP.

Thats wrong as well, Kill Zone NexGen wasnīt Ingame, it was already stated by the development team and by Sony.

They said they already achieved nearly the trailer quality though, but with framerate issues.
(Nonetheless the actual game will never achieve this kind of animation, kind of gameplay.)
UT 2007 didnīt run on the ps3...

Iīm not against the ps3, I will buy one after a price reduction for sure, but I wonīt hype about marketing things like "cell" or prerendered videos, would be too disappointing.

Remember the ps2 Eģ show, the videos were gorgeous, but the actual first generation games were looking worse than last generation Dreamcast games, it was really disappointing I think.

I dunno if I'm gonna get teh revolution. Nintendo seems to be going WAY downhill, with all the Movie related games, and all the other retarded games. I just think Nintendo is going downhill. So, I'm not sure if I'm gonna buy revolution.
I might buy ps3 though, Just because it's the next best thing to Nintendo... for me atleast.

What kind of movie related games? Nintendo isnīt responsible for third party developments, neither is Sony and Microsoft.

You're really have no idea how things work. You're ignorant. Stop talking.

Anyways, I have been reconsidering buying a PS3 as my "regular" game console (the console I will be buying in addition to the revolution). Ken Katurigi has been saying shit that pisses me off again. He's talking about games running at 120 frames a second, and I think he's insane. The human eye can't even see 60 frames, and that's what we're running at now. Insane-o.

Plus, when he says things like "the PS3 can’t be offered at a price that’s targeted towards households" you know the thing is going to be damn expensive. Looking at the PSP price, I'm scared the PS3 is going to be more then I'm willing to spend.

Time to look into the 360.

I feel a big difference when I play Counter Strike Source at 60fps and my usual 140fps.

EDIT: I get 60fps when V-sync is on. (My LCD's refresh rate is at 60Hz.) When I disable V-Sync, I run Counter Strike Source at 140fps and there's a HUGE difference when you play it.

    @ Jyuu
You just see such a huge difference, because you donīt always have 60 fps, it will sometimes totally drop, and then you will tsee the difference. Would you always have average 60 fps and no drastic change of fps (high or low), you wouldnīt be able to detect it so easily.

The big difference you feel is mostly imagined. Your. Eye. Can. Not. See. It.

The only time you can tell a difference is if it flucctoates from say, 60 FPS to 30. Your eye can see that slowdown. At 140 FPS, if there's slow down, your eye can barely detect it.

I would much rather they lock games down at 60 frames per a second rather then adding unneccesary pressure on the processor. Save the processing power to do other things. We can make games look a lot better this way.

I hardly ever drop under 60fps.

Halo was designed to run at 30fps. I run it at about 100fps and I feel the game is a lot more smoother.
