    Default Dungeons and Dragons

    I was wondering if anyone else here liked Dungeons and Dragons. I just recently started playing and I love it. I was also looking for a good place to download some of the books in PDF form. If anyone knows of a place for that I would appreciate it. If you're into D&D, use this thread to share some of your stories.

    Yep I love it! My dad runs his own game with a few friends every saturday. I've been playing for years and most of my dads friends who play are my friends to. We've faught liches, dragons, dracoliches (undead dragons) and vampire dragons...I've recently started working on my own D&D game for them to play if they want.

    Stats for myself:
    Game Master: 1 time

    Most used character+Game:
    Game: Dads D&D game (Not ravensbluff or the such, new series game. Any race, alignment allowed etc. weapon...the way D&D should be)

    Character:
    Sepiroth
    Race: 1/2 drow
    Class: Fighter lvl 15
    Weapon Master lvl 6
    Weapon: Greatsword (enchanted)
    *Note this does not make me a nerd because this is only on saturdays...during my other time I practice martial arts...*

    Don't deny being a geek if you play D&D, it's pointless.

    It's like, there's a board and you move on it. And then when there is a battle you can only move during your turn and stuff like that. It seemed kinda cheap though because the people who ran towards the monsters always got the shit hammered out of them by something called attack of opportunity whereas the people who let the monsters come to them got like 5 of those. I don't understand why the person you swing at gets the first hit, but whatever.

    But there was this version of the game I did want to play but no one played it. It's called D20 and it sounds like fun, yet I don't know anyone who plays it.

    D20 isn't a version, its the type of game. Based on D20 dices.
    Also, those are pussy ways of playing D D, the real way you play it is in your head.

    A story I can think of off the top of my head [me and my friends would play during gym class, where if you wanted to do a physical activity, you had to bug the teacher's enough, and no one did that] would be the time we went demon hunting with endless bowls of sugar.

    Rampant explosions soon followed, and much level gaining. It is fun being a black mage that, casting a level one spell-magic missle, creates about 100 swirling slices of pure destruction each time you cast it, ready to anhilate whatever you feel like.

    My friends class;
    Drow
    nympho drow that likes sacrificing people
    chatoic evil
    stats;
    unkillable
    carrys around a monomolecular sword
    very little clothing
    1 bag of holding containg;
    about 8 bags of holding
    10 10-foot pole
    1 40-foot pole of vorpol[cuts heads off instantly]
    10000000000000 platinum pieces [accrued from rampant stabbing/pillaging/slaughtering/tricking people into giving us massive amounts of money for doing a quest, then not doing quest]
    various potions of assorted uselessness
    except when playing with harrington... turing his charecter into a lemur is somehow incredibly gratifying...

    Sounds fairly childish, but those can be some of the best D&D games. I like low level games, because once you hit 12+ level things become stupid and degenerate.
