    Default F.e.a.r

I'm still waiting for Amazon.ca to ship my order and I should be getting my hands on it tomorrow.
While waiting, I downloaded the game.
F.E.A.R is technically amazing. The shooting experience is somewhat never seen before. It feels like playing Halo on Legendary: The enemies are intelligent and they know how to flank you from everywhere.
There are some damn creepy moments and the action never lets you down.

OMG i played this game at my friend's house cause my system is not up to par. 2GB of RAM, dual SLI cards and minimum P4 LGA775 is something i can only dream of. However I was drooling. The limit of 3 weapons was refreshing and bullet time this time isn't a gimmick. And my god i got my ass flanked like 50 times. AI is fricking scary. And the desctuctible environements and all that blood. Really words can't describe it. And all that in 2hrs *shudder*

Downloaded it, since I'm not an actual fan of shooters. And I spent my money on the Ultimate Spiderman game, a couple of comic books, and a pair of shoes and some pants. I've deleted it now actually, never bothered finishing it. And yes, while it does look amazing, and the gun fights kick ass, I failed to see the atmosphere people keep hyping.

The game is cut into two parts in every stage. The try to scare the crap out of you part and the shoot out part. Why couldn't they have mixed the two for a seamless game?

Plus little Japanese horror show girl gets boring after the first couple of times.

Oh, and the AI is something like Far Cry I guess. They're not really that smart, they're just made to look like they're that smart. On occssion, I managed to get a whole squad to line up in front of a door. Pistoled the whole lot of them.

The guns aren't all that great. But I'm glad that the pistol doesn't lose its effectivity at later parts like in most shooters (well, except Halo, but the pistol in Halo is just cheap). Guns are mostly what you'll find in most other shooters, but I will admit they did a fine job with them.

And yeah, that's pretty much my review of it.

I bought the game a few weeks ago. Simply awesome. It's the best first person shooter to be released in a long time (except for Half-Life 2).

Where's the difference between made to seem smart and smart AI? AI is made to seem smart, no video game entity has real intelligence. The AI here is the best ever made for an FPS.

The only other games that come close are Far Cry, and then Half-Life 2, in that order, but they're still a small leap behind.

The demo is 600MB, but it's worth every bit of it. It gives you a little bit of everything that this game is about.

Don't worry if it chugs like a bitch though, the full version has been optimised quite a bit. You should be able to get it to run nicely with a bit of setting tweaking, without dropping much visual quality.

I say go out and buy it, then maybe the developers can continue making games of this quality with their hard earned money.
