Thread: Old School to New School

Don't know if there is a thread like this so I started one.

This is a thread where you talk about all those Old School games that you would like to see redone for next gen consoles and ones that you wish they done better or just left alone.

Betrayal at Krondor.
With more NPCs and more side-quests.

Phantasmagoria using a 3D engine instead of live action video.

Myst and Riven, using an even newer engine (CryEngine 2). These two games need to be re-released every time a newer engine comes out.

A new King's Quest.

Warcraft: Orcs & Humans redone with the Starcraft 2 engine. Good story.




And the twist to this thread:
New to old.
Fallout 3 with the original Fallout engine. None of the shooting bullshit. Real Fallout combat with action points. Taunts and crude language. I want to be able to hit a woman in the groin and end her birth-giving days.

A real sonic game.

Yeah Sonic games should have just been left alone, they pushed that way over the cliff along time ago.

I would like an upgrade from Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne that isn't WoW. I know Warcraft 4 won't be coming, but Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 just aren't coming out fast enough, even when most of the game is finished.

I would also like to see an Extreme-G game for the Wii.

Conker's Bad Fur Day for Wii they had Conker: Live & Reloaded for Xbox like 3-4 years ago that was ok but for some reason I wasn't much of a fan of it on Xbox, bring it to the Wii and I think it would be much more fun to play.

Donkey Kong. I miss the old school platform games.

Almost every aspect of the lore has or is being covered.
The old gods and titans are dead or currently being killed (Molten Core, Ahn'Qiraj and Ulduar), Illidan has been killed, Vashj and Kael'Thas are no more, Kil'jaeden is dead, the old dragons have been accounted for, the Forsaken are settled and the plan concocted by Varimathras and Putress has been squashed and Ner'zhul/Arthas will eventually be dealt with.
Unless they create a completely new branch in the lore, there is almost nothing left of it.

Bloody Roar, it was a nice beat'em up that got out shined at the time by Tekken and Street Fighter games I feel if they brought it back for the Next Gen consoles cleaned it up a little here and there it would make a great game.

I'm aware of that, and they added a bunch of stuff that wasn't originally in Warcraft as well. I've played WoW for a few years, and managed to stop playing that game because it was sucking my life away.

Basically, I just want some new units, buildings, heroes, and creeps. I don't care too much about the story aspect.
