This is some info about Suikoden V.
First, this game takes place in the Queendom of Falena. As evidenced by the name, this is a matriarchy ruled by a line of female empresses. We have no idea where Falena is located in Suiko-world, nor do we know when the game takes place in the time line. We were about to learn these answers, but that PR lady just kept stopping the producers when things were getting interesting. Suffice to say, the world of Falena faces troubled days ahead, which is where our hero and his friends come into play. (We don't even know what his true rune is yet, and none of the graphics give anything away.)
Regardless what it turns out to be, the game is gorgeous. Stylistically, Genso Suikoden V moves back to an animation style reminiscent of Suikoden 2, which was easily one of the most beautiful games on the PS1. Mind you, it is still fully 3D, but the camera angle and cel-shading give it a psuedo-2D feel. Load times were minimal, and there were no jaggies to be found in any of the lush cut scenes. Our hero has long white hair, and wields a three-section staff -- with an amazing attack animation. Indeed, all of the attack animations we saw were fantastic. Likewise, his supporting characters sported really pretty designs as well.
Easily the coolest thing we learned from our time spent waiting to play the demo was that character parties can once again be six members, and that party members can rotate in and out of battle, much like in Final Fantasy X. Also, characters are no longer confined to rows; from the trailer, it was shown that players can use different formations (rows, a triangle style, and possibly others) to set up different styles of attacks.
The game looks pretty solid for just having been announced. When we asked about the release date, the only answer we received was a very coy "Maybe&soon?" from the producers. Whenever it arrives, the game looks poised to take a step back to the glory days of the series, and that can only bode well for Suikoden fans.
I got these article from this site http://www.gamerankings.com/itemrank...eviewid=617659 if you want to read the whole piece.
So what do you think?
