What is your favorite strategy game? mine is Dawn of War and Winter assualt.

Shining Force
Fire Emblem
Final Fantasy Tactics

Though they all are stategy rpgs.

Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne
Warhammer 40k: dawn of war
Starcraft: Broodwars



The first two are strat rpgs.

I love warcraft 3 the most. best game ever.

Just to point it out:

You know, that Fire Emblem 2 on GBA is the THIRD GBA game and the 8th installment of FE?

FE6 which plays after the story of FE 7 never made it to us/eu...

wow really? I loved FE 2 on the gba. But my stupid friends traded his copy in for money >_< so now i cant play it, until i can either download it when i get my new computer or buy it myself.

StarCraft is my favorite RTS.

For a strategy RPG, I'd have to say Final Fantasy Tactics.

It´s kind of disappointing, everyone says "FF is my favourite RPG." only because they don´t know other great RPGs...

RTS: Starcraft
RPG: Grandia II (mmmm.... sacrilious), Chrono Trigger, and FFVII (toss up). *EDIT* Gahh! and Xenogears (how could I forget that one)

Here is a question. What would you guys call Ogre Battle (have the 64 one)?

Strategy RPG.

just like a lot of Atlus Games.

But the games you listed are ordinary RPGs, even though they are good. * is playin Xenogears*

Ahh... Ok, I get it now. Then shitcan thoes and put my vote for Ogre Battle 64 instead.

Sorry about that. Never really played many of the 'strat RPG's' listed, so I didn't make the distinction. Also, many RPG's have at least a few battles that require some sort of stratigy comming into them (like armor setup and such), the better ones having many, so that also led to my confusion. Anyway, sorry.

And if that was a question, no, I'd group Xenogears as a standard RPG.
