Not the definition of an addict.
Thats the definition of douchebag with too much time and money on his hands.
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

That makes him a douche bag to me. Ever heard of playing with friends?"It costs me exactly $5711 in subscription costs per year with 36 accounts on the 6 month pay schedule," he writes. "Not bad considering I'm looking at it like it's a hobby and there are more expensive hobbies out there than World of Warcraft."
I think someone forgot what the first to M's in "MMORPG" stood for. And the "game" part.

WoW isn't really a game if you get into end-game stuff. It gets immensely competitive and taxing.
When you have guilds like SK-Gaming, GotGame and Nihilum getting a lot of sponsors, the time you pour into WoW makes it become a job.
Some of the players are pretty much the next Fatal1ty and Thresh, like Neilyo, Serennia and Hafu among others.
Hafu's pretty hot. >.>

Looking at this from normal point of view he isnt an addict. He made his hobby become his job. Manny mmorpgs these days can give you quite an income if you know how to use it to your advantage. I would say that normal people who have 1 acc and spend like xx+ hours a week for playing wow are more addicted than him. For me he actualy found a way to earn money and he is good at this.
Also its a matter of time before he becomes wow fatal1ty and get huge amounts of cash from sponsors. People like that just get that lucky rather than some fatso who play 40-60hours a week and is a loooser in real life.
