Thread: Fallout 3

I'm so looking forward to this game. I was thinking it wasn't going to be like the other games and was instead going to be a cheesy crosover of Stalker and oblivion (but from those videos it feels more like Bioshock to me now). But now I'm totaly convinced, there is a copy of Fallout 3 out there that is as good as sold.

Thats a PC version that I intend to get BTW. Awesome game + mods and user generated content = even awesomer game.

I just hope that Jack Thomson, doesn't hear about this game. I want it.

It looks frikin hot, I got high hopes in the new folks developing the third one on the series. I really like they finally took the word "Vast" seriously, the maps are really VAST this time!

I really like the idea of finding clean water/food in order to survive^

So did I, thats why I searched for it and found nothing. You're probably remembering some posts from another unrelated thread.

So far my only gripe about the game is the lack of iron sights, hopefully that can be fixed with mods.

I've just sent my preorder BTW. Come on October 31st.

I haven't heard enough about the VATS combat system though. I'm guessing that you can't spam it but who knows.

It looks more of a imput called shot system, as I noticed he picked to shoot like 2 different body parts after another on one guy.(like say shooting a guys left foot before shooting his head etc. etc.)

Basically the game pauses and you spend action points on different shots/actions. The game then unpauses and all your selected actions play out. Action points then regenerate over time.

This game is going to be up there with POS as one of the worst Fallout games ever. Well actually one of two.

^^ So basically its the ultimate move in the game? I don't know, I am not much into the Fallout series but it sounds fun now that its more of just trying to survive in the enviroment.
