Thread: E3 08

Yeah probably not the best idea, but since the final fantasy thread got ran over with the Microsoft e3 Coverage on the big announcement I figured might as well start a general e3 topic. Since I got home from work and no one has done it, figured might as well.

Now keep in mind I wasn't able to get every chunk of information as when certain parts came up it didn't interest me but personal opinion of the microsoft conference was, actually sub par in comparison to last year. To me the highlights(other than what was discussed in the ff13 thread) seemed to be the resident evil 5 co op, gears of war 2 co op, gameplay footage of fallout 3, and their introduction of the bastard love child of the ps3 interface and the miis.

The Fable 2 stuff wasn't that interesting however neat it might have been, as I was more distracted at how brief it all was as to me it seemed like peter was given some cards to memorise and told to stfu afterwards.


So discuss, highlights? dissapointments, things looking forward to?

dunno I remember hearing something about it on Nintendo press conference.
The only exciting thing Nintendo got going is Motion Plus.

On other notes, I Am Alive could be something, some post apocalyptic goodness.

I didn't watch any of the Nintendo press conference because I don't own any Nintendo hardware (Lost my sp in a move) but I heard that it was lack luster. Going through the gamtrailers forums I noticed that some Wii owners who also own a 360 or ps3 have not played their Wii since Mario Galaxy came out. I feel for them.

But this E3 was fairly good imo. Before this I hated Too Human and didn't care about dead space but after getting my hands on the Too Human demo I was pleasantly surprised. The controls take some getting use to but after my 3rd play through I had the system down.

I just like the gritty space environment of Dead Space. It reminds me of Event Horizon (Event Horizon (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) which scared the crap out of me when I was a kid. I like that you have to dismember the monsters to defeat them and I hope the story is interesting.

Resident Evil 5 can't come out soon enough but I think it is an early 09 release. I like that they "lightened" it up a bit because while I was not really offended by the 1st trailer it was a little to dark.

I'm a fable fan so even though the info was old I liked to see more of it in motion.

Oh and the fall update for the 360; I feel like I am the only non Wii gamer that can't wait to have an avatar. My dude will be bad ass; wear boxing gloves and a gi...yeah.
