Thread: The World Ends With You

i noted this in the DS thread, but i think this game deserves its own thread.

this is possibly the best DS game i've played yet. the controls are very intuitive - first game i've played to fully exploit the power of the touch screen, the graphics/animation are smooth, the story is Gantz-ish (which is good), the music is funky and memorable, difficulty is completely adjustable in many ways, and most of all - the battles aren't forced/random and very fun.

my only gripe is that there isn't a good multiplayer function - similar to zelda, the multiplayer is a mini-game (beyblade-ish). and the mini-game is... ehhh. decent, but obviously not as fun as the actual game. it'd've been cool if true multiplayer battles were possible.

honestly, if you have a DS - go play it and make your own judgments.

p.s. i'm currently in the middle of the 3rd week thus not close to completely the game.

I had troubles with the controls.. kinda hard when I tried it for the first time. (oh well, I haven't gotten to paly it that much yet, only a bit from the start)

Great game so far though.

honestly, this game is so under-rated. two of my friends passed on it after looking at it, and a bunch of people on kotaku are also giving it a pass because of dubbing and weirdness.

but yah, if you don't like the attack controls, you could always switch to using another pin that has a different attack style.

I dunno where my DSes are.
If I knew I'd be the first one to play it. D:
