On Assassin's Creed for PC and the majority of PC gamers.
You know it's pretty silly when you look at the outrage this game caused when its environment requirements were revealed. I quote from various sources (just Google): "Assassin's Creed PC requirements frighten, amaze" or even "Assassin's Creed PC Specs: Your PC Will Weep Like A Scolded Child".
2-3GB RAM, XP/Vista, Pentium D 2.8GHz+ or AMD X2 2.2GHz+, 12GB hard disk drive space and a SM 3.0 6800+ or X1600+
Here's my take on it.
If you are half serious into PC gaming, 2GB is pretty much the minimum you should have had a year and a half ago. Games chew RAM and if you are still shocked that modern games need 2GB to run properly, you should stick your head in a cow ass and enjoy your stay there. Almost every computer games publisher lie about the minimum requirements so that they can attract more customers. For ONCE they don't lie about it and they get lynched for it.
Why a dual-core processor? I'd like to see a single core processor crunch the numbers necessary to bring an entire city filled with hundreds and hundreds of people to life. Really, if you don't have a dual-core processor by now, you should upgrade.
12GB hard disk space huh? How much is a 120GB hard drive today? Exactly.
9600GT for under $125? What's that? It offers better graphics than the PS3 or X360? Really? for $125? Go work for a week or two at McDonald's and you'll have more than enough to afford one.
If you ask for my opinion on why PC gaming is on the decline, here's what I will tell you.
Computer system manufacturers like Dell or HP will sell you absolute crap for an outrageous price. That piece of shit comes with an amazing on-board video chip, i.e no real video card. That dirtbox won't run anything other than Peggle or Lemonade Tycoon. Why is it that they are able to sell such dung? Because most of you people are fucking stupid and will keep acting like sheep. Yes, you people who come to Stoptazmo, even you are a retarded piece of shit. Go to the tech section and read up on some other threads in here. Bandwagoning on Vista hate without appropriate knowledge or experience, hating on PC gaming because you need to buy a new video card or add more RAM THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD INITIALLY.
Good job guys.
It's sad that PC game progression is being limited by how slow the lowest spec computers are instead of how fast the highest spec computers are. I have a friend who is still using a computer with 1GB of RAM, a P4 CPU (lowest of the early dual-cores), a GeForce Ti 4200 and on-board sound. He is somehow still under the impression that his computer is a decent gaming rig, and it makes me more frustrated each time I have to explain to him how out of date his PC is only to have him not believe me.
Also, it pisses me off when people complain that developers are raising the minimum spec of new games. If you don't want to spend the money to upgrade, don't play games on your PC. Get a console instead (even though if you just did a little bit of research, you could put together a very decent computer for the same price as a console).

Some premade comp's seem to be quite decent, I even saw one advertisement on the newspaper with 3GB DDR2. Even the crappy premade comp's come already with 100+ GB HD, radeon x1600+ higher and whatever processor. If premade comps seem to pass the min req, I can't understand the hate against specs like that, people that are into pc gaming most likely have a comp that passes those specs.
Does anyone else find it funny that people keep complaining about how much does upgrading their comp cost but keep buying the new consoles? PS3 is like what, 500+ euros with all the fancy stuff (more in USD). You can build a decent comp with that price (I bet you can even find decent premade comps at that price) but after few more years they'll release PS4, that's gona be another 500 euros (probably 600+) while the current comp will most likely be able to run the pc version of that console's games and if not the upg will cost far less than that new console (+ you'll be able to run your old and new games way better). Why don't we see any rage for the need to buy new consoles and their crazy prices? :/

Proving every single Vista hater wrong is something I rather enjoy.

Is that sad?
I recently re-installed Doom 3 just so I could put all of the graphical options on the absolute highest settings, then go into the config files and put them a bit higher, then go into my nVidia control panel and force 16xAA and 16xAF as well as v-sync. It's still a decent looking engine even when compared to current games, but being able to play it now with extremely good anti-aliasing and v-sync while maintaining high framerates makes it even better.
Too bad I got bored of the game content though...
