Sorry, meant to say, Vista's even MORE limited Dos functions are a pain in the ass. I know a lot of my DoS based games played fine in XP, and don't in Vista (without of course, DoSBox)FYI
NT 5.0 = Win 2000
NT 5.1 = Win XP
NT 6.0 = Win Vista
If you have a problem running a certain old software, try thinking of Windows Vista as Windows NT and apply the same rules (thus having to use DOSBox for old DOS-based games).
on that note, despite the fact that this is off-topic from the thread itself (and i didn't want to make a new one purely for this question), i managed to change my Vista so that i didn't have to put my password in every time I close/opened my laptop... how do i change it back so that i have to put in the password (cus ya... i forgot how)?Originally Posted by jyuu

You pulled that out of your ass?
How many years of experience do you have on computers? Are you in computer engineering/science? Is your job in any way directly related to computers? If so, state your full job description and the knowledge required to do so. What websites do you visit to keep yourself updated on computer hardware, software and computer games? Are you an editor at Bit-Tech, HardOCP, Anandtech or any such website? Are you a known hardware enthusiast such as K|ngp|n or Shamino?
Didn't think so.
