Thread: Mario Kart Wii anyone?

I'm planning to get this game because it just released here in Aus yesterday, but I'm not sure that i should, because the last one (double dash) was a massive disappointment for me.

Anyone got this game? You guys have any feedback? Is it comparable to Mario Kart 64? Does Toad still have that fucked up pussy voice from double dash?

i thought double dash was awesome....fav. mario kart out of all of them, and yes i've played all of the mario kart games. As for this one coming out, truthfully i'm not too excited about it...

The game isn't even out yet in most places.

32 tracks, just about unlimited number of characters(you can unlock your Mii's), 6 karts and 6 bikes per character, a wheel that actually works well without being connected to anything...I'm very excited for this game....maybe more than I was for SSBB or the upcoming Fatal Frame for the Wii.

eh, i'm somewhat excited but will be bracing myself regardless. i really don't like how nintendo is making their games easier for casual gamers.

Instead of getting worked up over such a trivial thing, why not just pick up a 360 or a PS3 and forget about the Wii?
If you don't like something, just ignore it.

problem is i'm a nintendo fanboy because i grew up with nintendo but the way this is going i might do that. i'm already leaning towards the 360 with it's better library of games.

Why not a PS3 and the better lineup of future games?
Also, you fail at life for being a fanboy.

MarioKart is gonna be great for the Wii, atleast online will be. I heard 4-player sucks because everything is designed for 12 players. And don't use the wii wheel for the motorcycle. Snaking is also gone (don't know if that is good or bad for you).

Anyway, it will be better than double dash, which was a good game imo.
