Thread: Champions MMO

Alright I did a search and no one either seems to particularly care, or dont get game informer.
Well simply the crators of City of Heroes/Villians are making this mmo which frankly look badass.

Based off of the table top game, the mmo apparantly plans to have the battling akin to Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Meaning no wait time for skills, and the only requirement to use them is by having enough of a bar filled by either getting hit or hitting with the basic physical attack.
According to GI some of the features seem to be a much more expansive create your own character than CoH and the ability to create your own arch nemesis who will appear at various points in the game to try and foil you and your friends if you so choose to team up. Also on the quest section you get to choose to keep your identity secret or go public which depending on what you do changes the types of missions you do drastically according to the magazine.
Also interesting to note is that apparantly everyone has axcess to all the abilities it's just that depending on the class you choose determines how much each ability cost.

If this one isn't then its a definately a keeper, only thing that I'm curious it will be on the softcore level or not?

Probably will vary depending on hwat class you pick and what abilities you choose. one of the quotes from the GI mag was that "everyone in the game can tank, it just depends on HOW they tank."

Kinda scare me, because seems like FFXI.
Pratically anyone can heal, for example with a /whm sub.. but definately a whm main, or a rdm heal 10x better then anyone with /whm sub!

So people start getting picky on who they ask to party, and if you are not the "optimal" whatever, you get stuck..
