Yes, we must first forgive Rockstar for thinking outside of the box.

    Yeaaaaaaah.
A GTA III clone, with the same interface, switching cars for bikes and skateboards, and guns for slingshots. Same level design, same quest system.

    How novel.

Yeah... only in the most obscenely obtuse sense. Using that logic almost every third person action game with a vehicle and non-linear missions is a GTA clone.

A game made by the company that made GTA. You do know that the same company made both games, right?
Using the same engine, and premise: Troubled person starts at the bottom of a seedy social status and works his way up by doing missions for others.

Take the GTA3 guy, remove 10 years and put the entire game inside a school, and there you have it.

I do believe post 21 will show I am aware of that.

And hey while were drawing umbrella similarites if you take basketball and add helmets and reshape the ball you've got football!!!

Name me a 3rd person action game where you don't start at the bottom and work your way to the top (regardless of whether the lead is an anti-hero or hero, him being "seedy" is irrelevant), and if you can do that, then compare it to the number of games where that is the premise and you tell me if you can make a serious argument that Bully and Grand Theft Auto are fundamentally the same game without automatically implying that damn near every TPA game is a GTA clone.
