i've followed the advice of a few people and started playing Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for DS. though it's admittedly easier than most games, i actually don't feel like that too much of a drawback. stylus + sword is pretty fun to work with, and so are the puzzles and exploration.
i'm about halfway through the game - to those that have finished, will the ending be good (please, no spoilers though) ?
and also, has Link always been that small o_O;;
There's very few games where Link is a grown up, most of the time he is a kid.
I don't have DS ;_;
I thought it was the opposite? I only remember him being a child in part of Ocarina of Time and the entire game of Majora's Mask... and Wind Waker, too, I guess?

What other Zelda games have you played, dear? Only in Twilight Princess and half of Ocarina of Time has Link been fully grown.

aw really ? i think i prefer my protagonist not to look like a wimpy little kid, but that's just me. plus the DS version makes it too pixelated to be cute
this game really, really uses the stylus. as someone said in the "best games of DS" thread, it rapes your screen so badly. i needed some getting used to, but i'm kinda happy with it now.
He looked fully grown in all the GBC games and I'm pretty sure he wasn't a small child in Link to the Past, either (haven't played anything older than that).

I remember play Oracle of Ages on the GBC, and remember it being very hard...
Of course, I was like 13 at the time, but whatever.
...I played it when I was, like, 13 and I didn't find it to be that hard. And I suck at video games, too.

Now A Link to the Past, that was hard. I couldn't even get TO the first dungeon in the GBA remake that I played. >_>;;
Really, maybe he doesn't look much like a kid in some, but he is. As said, only Twilight Princess & Ocarina features him matured.
A Link to the Past... ahhh, i remember it tortured me when i was like 10, i borrowed it. I got to the final fight with Ganon, he kicked my ass and i went to sleep. Next morning i was going to try again. *Surprise* No data =D
I played it like 3 more times 'till the end and the shitty memory got fucked up if i moved the game even just a little bit. By the fourth time i forgot where to get the golden gloves and that was the end of it.
I'm going to go cry now.
... at least i finished the GBA version.
i'm a newbie to zelda =\ is the storyline continuous ? is link even the same link ? what's the storyling about anyway ?
