Shigeru Miyamoto obviously didn't think his timeline through properly then, because that makes absolutely no sense. Am I going crazy, or does his timeline DEFY the meaning of the word "timeline"?

No, it makes sense. Just some people get confused easily about since the games are scattered around and not periodically. I don't blame you if you're confused. We just gotta look out for the clues within the games.

Care to explain how it makes sense then?

Wow, I already proved myself several times before. Quit being bitter about the whole thing. If you wanna see how it makes sense look at my older posts.

    Bitter? o_O

Please, If you want to argue that timelines AREN'T meant to be in chronological order you'd better start doing some explaining instead of dodging my question. I've read through the entire thread three times and haven't come across an explanation.

I'm not arguing against you saying it came directly from Shigeru Miyamoto's mouth, I'll take your word for that (and it wouldn't be hard for me to research it anyway). What I want to know is: if I'm just easily confused and there is a reasonable explanation for ALttP coming after the NES games in the timeline, I would love for you to explain it to me.

Dude, he's already explained himself about two times already. Quit being such a dick and asking the same question he's answered already.

All that's been said is "Shigeru Miyamoto said it, so it must be true" and "It makes sense, just not to you because you're 'easily confused'".

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I don't argue for the sake of it. If the person I'm arguing against has actually made a point I don't have a problem with admitting I'm wrong. If they're spouting crap without backing up their arguments though, I won't let it slip by. If this guy actually knew why ALttP comes after the NES games he would have actually answered me instead of saying stupid things like:

    - Shigeru Miyamoto said it, so nothing you say means anything
    - You're just not smart enough to understand it

Now let me explain how Shigeru Miyamoto's whacked out timeline REALLY makes sense. He made a mistake. It's a contradiction, plain and simple. Either he made a mistake when they made ALttP a prequel to the original NES games, or he made a mistake in that interview.

If Mr. Vengeance wants to pretend that it makes sense to him and to make fun of me because it DOESN'T make sense to me, then all I wanted for him to do was show me that he understands it. He failed to do that.

If it's not in chronological order of events, it's not a valid timeline. Is it so hard to accept that?

Yeah, Zelda's timeline is whacked out. Everyone knows that.

Is it just me or does Link seem just a little older in Majora's Mask than in Ocarina of Time? He can actually hold the Hylian shield now... XD

By the way, this is the Zelda thread - so does anyone know how to get rid of an addiction, or do I just play through all the games I have and get through withdrawal symptoms on my own once they're complete? :3
