    Oh wait, it's not on the DS.

    Fuck the DS then.

    So far the games i've had the most fun with on the DS are:

    Mario Kart,
    Zelda,
    Geometry Wars,
    Tetris,
    Contra 4 (holy fuck this game is hard, but its also 100x more fun if you play with someone else),
    New Super Mario Bros.,
    Elite Beat Agents,
    Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow (I havn't tried Portrait of Ruin yet)

    Animal Crossing: Wild World. Seriously. Not as good as the Gamecube one, though, in my opinion.

    As for the Brain Age thing, I thought it worked. o_o Whenever I played that game, it got easier as time passed, and I felt like I was thinking faster. Of course, that could be because I don't exactly perform brain-stretching activities every day, but... well, if you're like me... Anyway, the sudoku part is pretty fun, too. It'd probably be a good way to learn if you didn't know how to, and I like the fact that you can see how long it takes you to complete puzzles.

    hmm, so far, a few have mentioned geometry wars and contra 4, so i'll be looking into that. i guess i'll check out zelda as well, since mojo recommends it and it's one of the top-rated DS games.

    @atrum
    sorry, looks like i misread and have been misreading for quite awhile now

    @brain age issue/question

    i tried doing cursory searches on google (scholar and news) and wiki, and couldn't find an answer about scientific facts to back or deny Brain Age's claims. i really do hope some scientists will be curious enough to do research on it - i'm very curious as to whether it actually works

    yes, but which of those would you like to the point of considering buying it ? i've tried a bit of tetris, trauma centre and elite beat, and wasn't really too enamoured with them. i mean, i like tetris - but i already play a cooler multiplayer version of that elsewhere.
    You didn't like EBA? Crazy!

    Anyway, I personally recommend:
    CONTRA 4
    THE LEGEND OF ZELDA: PHANTOM HOURGLASS
    CASTLEVANIA: DAWN OF SORROW
    CASTLEVANIA: PORTRAIT OF RUIN
    NEW SUPER MARIO BROS
    SONIC RUSH
    ETRIAN ODYSSEY
    MARIO & LUIGI: PARTNERS IN TIME
    FINAL FANTASY III REMAKE
    FRONT MISSION 1st
    ADVANCE WARS: DUAL STRIKE
    HOTEL DUSK: ROOM 215
    PHOENIX WRIGHT, ACE ATTORNEY 3: TRIALS & TRIBULATIONS

    You heard right. It's not worth the money, not even worth pirating. Then again you didn't like Elite Beat Agents, so I wash my hands of you.

    ^I didn't like EBA either, more of a DDR type of guy myself so it wasn't that great imo.

    @echo- saw it like 2 months ago? there were a few articles but I can't seem to find them, but i remember there was a study done by 2 colleges, and the other two were done by individuals.

    At the same time I think I might have misunderstood exactly what you meant, what I meant was, which is what i sorta remember one of them them saying along the lines of "brain age is not supposed to make you smarter, its goal is to make your mind sharp, or keep it sharp. Basically, excercise mental reflex, memory, etc…not teach you anything new, though it can of course teach you to memorize simple math equations, which is very useful in life." Something like that. So not saying it won't help out at all, just not the way people claim it does. Either way, still a good game.

    @DE- if someone plays anything repeatedly constantly, they're bound to get better at it right? Well, at least usually people do.
