oh yah and i heard that there was a problem with the 80gb ps3 verses the 60gb ps3. something about not being able to play ps1/ps2 games (i own 90+ ps2 games) is that true??

the 80 gig has SOME backwards compatibility, but not all. In due time the compatibility will increase through firmwares and what not. If you want full backwards compatibility, get a 60 gig (if u can find one), but if you still want to play ur ps2/ps1 games and dont get a 60, then the 80 is your only option since the 40 gig can't.

I know from playing the previous games.
I can say that there will be a male lead.
He will be romantically involved with the female lead.
There is a good chance she will die or that she is going to die.
There is also a good chance the female lead will be a princess or of high standing.
There is a 100% chance that one of the problems will be a result of humanity in general.
Humanity is in some way, or was in some way destroying the world.
The main character will most likely be blond and use a large sword.
The battle system will most likely have a tactical system that it will never use outside of two fights.
It will have Cid, Ifrit and Shiva as well as many Star Wars references, in some cases blatantly ripping off somethings.
One of the main enemies will be directly related to the main character.
It will have an awesome soundtrack though that won't make up for the other problems.

Overall if I wanted to play the same game over and over with better graphics, a few new plot twists that would make the author weep in shame, and terrible english voice acting I would by games from nintendo.

No, you can't tell whether a Final Fantasy game is going to be good just by playing the previous ones. After all, there are some absolutely brilliant Final Fantasy games, and some absolutely horrible ones too. Your post reeks of narrow minded, unreasonable prejudice.


No, I'm not a Final Fantasy fanboy, and yes, I do think Lost Oddysee is going to be good. I just don't agree with your "reasoning".

Lost Odyssey is being produced by Sakaguchi who I trust, honestly I wish he never left Square.

Final Fantasy 1:
Story of 4 Light warriors against dark lord, warrior character was a Red-head, and used a longsword.

FFII:
Battle against two kingdons, main character had white hair.

FFIII:
Humanity tried to harness power of the light crystals and messed, you white haired sword wielding need to balance out using the dark crystals.

FFIV
Is about the evil monarch rampaging about, gathering the crystals.. (that btw have been the main point of final fantasy series the 4 light/dark crystals.)
Main character had white hair, long sword.

FFV:
White haired dude with fears of heights is the protector of the crystals, he is protector of the wind, and something happen after a meteor crashes.. he goes out to investigate.

FFVI:
Evil dictator create forbbiden things using magic and tecnology.. main character? there are 16.. soo..

FFVII:
Just like you said Sirus.

FFVIII:
Gun sword black haired dude, trying to assassinate evil witch.

FFIX:
Blond Midget, using daggers, and his crew need to defeat evil dude trying to control the summons.

FFX:

From all thoses FF I played, some really sucked, while others shined, (only to be overshadowed by ffvII fanboys that still scream better rpg ever.. )

FF are not a linear thing, so just because the last one sucked don't mean the next will.



But back to the topic!

WII - If you don't play a video game for more then 5 minutes this is the game for you, repetitive wigglign of the wiimote/numbcuck then off for better more fun active games like, soccer, baseball, football and such.

Now, if you have a PS2. Why do you want for your ps3 to have backward compability?? Are you going to thrown your ps2 away?

Its like saying that why my Nintendo 64 can't play my Super Nes cartriges!!! its nintendo they should let you play your 10 years old game on the new console...

Yeah sorry I always call young people with white hair blond in video games. Personally the real FF3 and FF6(called FF3) were the best imo.
