I expect screenshots from everyone.
-
I'm going to a 10 man LAN right now, and leeching it off my mate. I'll be posting screenshots later.
-
Argh.
I am raiding in Karazhan right now and I cannot play it for another 3 hours.
/cry
But I did run it on my second monitor.
DX10 mode, 1920x1200 4xAA
Looks fucking amazing and the suit is awesome.
-
I'm not even going to try it <_<
I wouldn't be surprised if i can't even get to play it for 5 minutes. 10 MAYBE at the lowest settings possible. If i shoot something my pc will probably freeze or something.
Greetings earthlings.

CRYSIS MAKES MY COMPUTER CRY!
Oh my god, I thought it would never happen.
I'm so happy and sad at the same time.
-
...
I am actually considering not playing at 1920x1200.
Edit:
Hmm okay.
Crysis is incredible. The AI is really good. If you are hiding behind a wooden crate, they'll blast the crate away, if you're hiding behind something more resistant like iron sheets, they'll flank you, if there's foliage around, they'll hide in it and mess with you.
A pair of enemies were hiding behind a vehicle, and there was no way for me to shoot them. So I shot the wheels, bringing down the height of the vehice and that left their heads exposed for a few seconds, enough for me to pull a couple of headshots. On another occasion, I was using a mounted turret to get some suppressive fire on some guys. However they were hiding in some dense bushes. So I carefully shot a nearby tree at a specific angle, which caused it to start falling onto the enemies, forcing them to run away from their hideout.
The gameplay is superbly fantastic.
As for the graphics...
Well the game looks really good, but my computer just isn't good enough to run it at 1920x1200 even without AA.
Remember this screenshot?

Well yeah, that's how it looks on my computer, except at 1920x1200 at crap framerates and without antialiasing at all.
No computer out there can render that kind of antialiased scene at acceptable framerates.
But yeah, that's the DX10 very high mode.

Jyuu wants a screenshot.
Jyuu gets a screenshot.

Oh, I forgot to say that don't even bother unless you have an 8800GTX or 8800 Ultra.
I don't think even an 8800GTS 640 would be enough.

My 8800GTX runs this game on the "high" settings without AA perfect. With AA it runs a little slower, but still very playable. I can't try it on the very high settings because I don't have Vista installed.

That screenshot doesn't do any justice to the Very High mode.
In motion, it's like "HOLY SHIT, THAT'S INCREDIBLE!"
The motion blur, the cinematic feel, the depth of field, the explosions, the water, the more-than-dynamic soft shadows on every little blade of grass and every leaf of hundreds of plants which also sway with motion blur in the dynamic wind and the incredible textures and bump maps that put so much added detail to EVERYTHING, whether it's the sand or the microscopic fibers and weaves of a hat or the detailed shell surface of a crab, glistening dynamically. And the facial animations and textures are years ahead of even Half Life 2 Episode 2 or Heavenly Sword.
omigod
Edit:
Oh and I can't take screenshots. FRAPS doesn't seem to work with any DX10 game (tried with Lost Planet, Bioshock and now Crysis). Standard screenshot+paste doesn't work as well, it just gives blackness.
Edit again:
I'm updating FRAPS. It should work now.
Edit:
Uploading screenshots.
I just tried it on High settings except for Very High physics and Very High audio. It runs a lot faster and I can even have 4xAA at 1920x1200. It just doesn't look as good as Very High though. It lacks that cinematic filter.
