from what i can tell he's just using sounds from the games or so, which makes sense since he isnt actually making the sounds himself. Just pre-recorded stuff.

He doesn't extract the character models from the games, I'm pretty sure he makes them himself. It's pretty damn impressive that he can get them so close to the originals, but you can tell their faces are different (and have a higher polygon count).

That video was sweet. I especially loved the teleporting combo that Kasumi did while they were on that thin stone bridge.

Sorry but I disagree. Theres no way in hell some one can just do this crap. I know some people who can extract FFX-FFX-2 models and use them anyway they want to.

He made the models himself, and even if he did rip the models completely animating them takes a shit load of skill. This guy has a better sense of choreography than most (dare I say all?) Hollywood directors.

The kick Tifa did at the end was so badass the word badass cannot even begin to contain the badassery that was that kick.

Why not? It's not unbelievable that someone wants to make his own models.

Go watch the Samus vs Master Chief video. He made the armoured Samus (pretty sure, since it doesn't look exactly like the one from Metroid Prime or SSBM from what I can remember), unarmoured Samus and the "Master Chick" models himself, it's blatantly obvious there.

There's high resolution pictures of the models there. If he can make his own models for that video, I'm sure he could do it again. Maybe you're right for this one, but to me their faces don't look the same as what they did in the video games, that's all.

He made his own models, i can guarantee that. Its not as hard as you think is it (well it is), but it's completely do-able if you have knowledge and skills in the software. In fact creating the models is most of the fun in animation. It's challenging to rig it correctly. Rigging is like giving the models joints and stuff. Where it's able to bend, how much, and the likes. From then on, just knowing how to animate and bringing your model to life just happens. Though like everyone else has been saying, another huge task he has to do was choreograph the fights and everything. I want to say he's probably doing all this on 2 computers, to help with the rendering time, because quite honestly for one man to do this, he's damn good.
