My roomate came into walmart at about 12:30pm and there were like no lines and he got the game haha.
Currently playing Akatsuki no Goei
Halo 3 is really... average. So far it hasn't set itself apart from any other FPS in any way. Maybe I shouldn't have played Bioshock first, that way Halo 3 might have stood a chance.
The one thing that killed it for me was no 4P co-op on a single machine/TV. Even though I knew it was gonna be like that I was hoping Halo wouldn't do such a bullshit stupid thing. That's the one thing I REALLY hate about 360. Why can't you have a bunch of friends over to play some games? At least you can do 4 to a TV/Machine in multiplayer, which annoys me since you can't in co-op.

Good game, but I don't feel that it quite lived up to the hype.
That's because it was the most overhyped game in history. I've never felt that the Halo series was deserving of it's hype, so I completely ignored the hype for this game. Even the people who were DOING the hyping were disappointed. IGN hyped this game massively in the weeks before its release, and right after its release they put an article up about how they were disappointed it didn't live up to the hype. Hypocritical much? If I could insert a "rolleyes" smiley here, I would.
EDIT: Well, I just finished the game and I've got to say the game got off to an extremely slow start, but I hung in there to finally get some closure on the series. Boy was I surprised. If there's only one thing that this game does that just might live up to the hype, it's the ending. One of the best and most satisfying endings to a video game in the last 10 years for me, and I was unsure of whether to be happy or sad (it's a very emotional ending, and done just perfectly too, worthy to be the ending of an A grade movie).
The game was EXTREMELY short, it only took me about 8 hours of play. Lucky though, because if it was much longer I probably wouldn't have had the patience to get to the ending.
