Thread: You mean Unreal Engine 1, 2 and 3 and UT and Gears of War didn't print enough money?

No PS3 UT demo pre-release.

Epic Games' Mark Rein says we shouldn't expect an Unreal Tournament 3 demo for PS3 before the game's release in November, but a PC one will happen.

"We'll have a PC demo for UT, [but] I don't think we'll have a PS3 demo before the game ships," Rein told Eurogamer during Games Convention.

"We're not a big huge company with the resources to do that, and all the time we're testing that demo we're not testing our full game, which we need to be doing constantly," he added.

If second-timers Crytek can do a Crysis demo, why not Epic Games?

maybe it is still too buggy, and thus they save time to debug the game by not releasing a demo :P

We're not talking about debugging here.
We're talking about the supposedly lack of resources.

What I meant is that it's more classy for them to say they are lacking resources rather than they screwed up and have still a lot of bugs to clear ; though I agree it is a little bit low if it is the case

well I'm a 360 user but I feel sorry for the ps3 users...that just sucks

I guess they must hit that, mark.. we do the game for PS3 or we do the Game for Porting? They either make a more friendly cross plataform game, or a straight up PS3, making the cross more costly in future.

I've never cared for UT, something about just rmindlessly shooting with nothing gained and/or no progression, I see it like CS, repetetive and pointless. I also don't like the OTT design. Some ridiculously muscled guy with a neck as thick as a tree, in tremendously oversized armour that no man would even be able to walk in and a weapon that is the size of a small car that looks completely unpractical. Yeah I know its supposed to be "Unreal", but I think it just looks stupid.
