xD well besides that I mean the obvious PS button in the middle is missing and how come it looks like the old PS2 MadCatz controller, plus how come it's as much as a sony controller.

Using the old molds even if remade slightly moddified, is cheaper and easier than redesigning the whole controller.

Its branded, anything with a brand logo on is instanly more expensive.

Usually the MadCatz controllers are cheaper. Which is why they exist. Making it the price be equivalent or even near the official controller defeats the purpose of a cheap control...

Yeah, but people will pay more for a branded item, remember these have an NFL team logo printed on them. Its for the same reason that official Nike clothing is more expensive than the supposedly counterfeit stuff. Its actually the same product (probably even made in the same sweat shop on the same machines by the same people), the point is people buy brand stuff, which means companies can charge more for it. If these controllers were official sony controllers with sports logos on them, they woud deffinately be more expensive than a regular sony controller.

Bah. 3rd party controllers suck by definition. Fuck em.

The don't always suck, they're just not as good as official stuff ( the only reason to get a 3rd party controller is price and possibly ergonomics, you certainly wouldn't buy one for durability or usability).

I've never met a 3rd party controller that was good for more than anything other than using as a projectile weapon...

My controler original, 2nd player gets whatever I can get for 5bucks!! no complaining!
But I've had my share of 3rd party controlers.. they all worked great.
Don't have much to complain except for the strangely light weight controlers.. feels like missing 90% of the stuff inside, and you can just break it doing a "Haddoken"
