Thousand Arms (more on dating sims than actual fighting XD) PS1
Star Ocean 2 (3 on PS3. I like the game play and story. 80 diff endings! ) PS1
Grandia 1 and 2 (I think this two are better than part 3) lots of diff platform
Parasyte Eve (short but good) PS1
Deception III. (the gameplay is great. Traps and stuff XD)
Dance a groove (rhythm game)

Magneto is a beast! If there was a TT game wonder what'd it be like, but yeah Rival schools was awesome.

I lost my copy of Rival Schools 2. And OMG Parasite Eve! Sadly their next game is only for the mobile phone. :'(

WHAT?!? I thought it was gonna come out for PS3 or 360.
I want my Parasite eve T^T
but I want them to change the game play back to PE1. I don't like the gameplay in 2. It's like I'm playing RE ... with spells. >_<

Yeah I can agree there but everyone should play it if not for those then for the battle system alone, it's one of the highest entertaining systems I came across, plus Legia 2 is a step up graphic and story wise.[not by much tho](didn't particularly like that ones map)

Yeah I spent too much time collecting money and stuff, I was occupied with the dating stuff.

damn I wish I still have the old PS1 (my ps2 is not backward compatible), Parasite Eve and Deception rocks.

Wild Arms PS/PS2. (probably does not need to be in list)
Alien Shooter Vengence PC. (It's a guilty plesure)
Lunar Legend 1&2 PS 1 also for GBA.(do not under any circumstances play the one for the DS)
Tsugunai: Atonement PS2.(Its worth playing for some interesting things they did BUT probably not worth buying unless you are a huge RPG fan)
Stella Deus PS2.
Suikoden 2 PS also a PSP inport.

Grim Fandango. The best game ever made. A masterpiece. Im currently re- re- re- x50000303 playing it.

Im surprised no one mentioned it yet. But then again most of the games here are boring jap rpgs so im not really that surprised.

And also some great DC games. Man that console had some great games like

Typing of the Dead, Seaman, Berserk, Skies Of Arcadia ( The only japanese or asian rpg after SNES that I actually like, Legend Of The Dragoon is also an exception :P ), Armada, Zombie Revenge, Power Stone 1 & 2!!!!

And also fuck Guitar Hero. Samba de Amigo FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fire Emblem 4. Absurdly long, and absurdly hard, but still the second best game ever.

Planescape: Torment was already mentioned, and I'll second it. The best game ever, bar none.

For strategy fans I'll also recommend Dominions 3. It's one of the best strategy games ever, though it's absurdly complex.
