Well we can sort out a little on what you want,
I'd also recomend Jyuu's list..
Tho, CoH/CoV,GW are pretty casual mmos rpgs, compared to LOTR and WOW.
Casual as in you can play 20mins and be ok.. while the others you need some hours to do something significant in the game.
There is also
Granado Espada (casual)
Everquest 2 (hardcore)
Final Fantasy XI (hardcore)
Lineage II (hardcore)
Star War Galaxies (casual, harcore if you wish to be a jedi)
Dungeon and Dragons (casual)
Rising Forces (hardcore)
But my recomendation would go now to Granado espada, as you can play as much as you want, with the MMC system they have, it removes alot of the strain of depending on alot of people for your needs..
on Mmos you usually have to partner up with a priest or a tank or a mage to finish up something, but MMC helps alot as you can have everything you need.
*MMC = Multi character control
But at the same time, opens up alot of new strategies, if you wish to group with others players...

If you want to you pay 9.99 per month and its all good, (3bucks cheaper then mosts mmos, wow goes for 12.99)
