Thread: what new game are you waiting for?

definitely GEARS of War 2. I already pre-ordered it. 4 player online co=op with crazy graphics? i'm definitely spending 60 dollars for it.

Resistance 2 has 8 player coop and excellent graphics.

Come on man, U cant compare Gears with Resistance. Gears of War blows it out the water. But the graphics might be better though since its PS3(lets wait on it). I just bought a Ps3 so its either Resistance 2 or Gears 2 so i most definitely pick Gears since there's a high probability it will be better.(remember they said Resistance 1 was going to be better than gears 1 too)


Do you know if they'll ever port Crysis to consoles? I mean the game was gr8 but it didnt sell that much on PC so i dont see what is stoppin them. Common sense will tell you they should bring it to consoles.

Gears has a more compelling story and Character background even if it's not as long as i'd like it to be. The story was so good that they decided to make a movie out of it. Before you jump on the money aspect, you should first look at the story because i think that is where the script writers saw the potential for the movie.

... Gears of War has a shit story compared to Resistance. It's sparse, filled with plot holes, badly told, with shitty dialogue, etc.
Resistance actually has a well-narrated story with evolving characters and an unexpected twist at the end of the first game.
If they are considering to make a movie, it's not because of the story but because of the strength of the intellectual property and its selling power.

What plot hole does it have? I know they didnt kill the queen but the goal was to stop the surge which they did.

Plot holes like what's the deal between Hoffman and Fenix. Why was Fenix in jail. What's the deal with the Fenix family, how the Locust came to be, what the fuck Emulsion is, what's the goal of the Locust, etc.

If you fail to see any plot holes in Gears of War, you should go back to school to learn basic literature.

Fenix was jailed for deserting his post while trying to attempt to save his father. His father was a military scientist and obviously his family wasn't poor. His father is the one who created the map for the underground caverns.

The Locust existed underground until they decided to emerge and invade. Emulsion is an energy source(much like oil) which set off wars that went of for yrs(also known as Pendulum warss)

The locusts goal is to eliminate the Human race, why? that is still a mystery, maybe we'll find out in gears 2.

You see, you actually had to go and read that in the manual and/or bonus content that are not in the game. We are talking about the game here.
Gears of War is so filled with plot holes and narrative mishaps that they even added a whole new chapter to the PC version. The damn game's narrative is so broken that they had to rely on external sources to complete it.
