I'm so sold for this game.

it is not great at all from what i'm hearing though.... there are lots and lots of bugs and the background is way more shallow (non existent) than the elders scrolls' one...

it doesn't seem to be too bad for an action only game in a somewhat fantasy world though :s

The freaking final game hasn't even been released yet! Between the German release and the worldwide release, they could easily have fixed most of the bugs, don't you think?
It's like Gothic 3. The German version was riddled with bugs but the NA one was less buggy.

Looks cool, even though I haven't tried Oblivion O_o

k, i was wondering why you spoke of it as if it was all new ^^
Not only Germany, It has been out for more than a month in France too and i guess most european coutries, though at least you won't have 300 MB of patches to dl for the US release hopefully (if they don't add some )

Three major gripes I had with Oblivion were the complicated skill/class/levelling up system, that I didn't find the story particularly engaging and also (to me at least) combat felt kind of awkward from first person.

What I loved about Oblivion were all the side quests (especially the assassins guild and detective side quest to find the stolen painting), the mod-ability of the game (there are so many add on for it, even a completely new town), the go anywhere nature of the game and also all the little details (just read any of the books you find in the game, my favourite one is the king of the beggars book).

If they can sort out those problems and put in all the good stuff then I'll be sold as well.

Minus the archery, it sounds like a cross between Runescape and Star Ocean.

Runescape:
- More quests done = more quests to do
- Fight, Mage, archery (not on horseback...)
- Ever expanding world

Star Ocean
- Fuse weapons... ghetto system, though fun.
- Stacking spells with items

You couldn't be more wrong. It's more like Oblivion, STALKER, Gothic and NWN than anything else.

So this one ain't out in America yet? I love it when games comes out in europe before america haha. But thats very rare lol.

But back to the topic. Well Oblivion was all about originality this looks more like someone tried to copy Oblivion and just add some new stuff and see if it sells. I don't buy it. But then again I haven't tried it out yet.
