The game's been out for almost 8 months... where were they when it first came out, why start bitching now?

Dunno why religious ppl always complain about stuff when its late,Imean remember the newspapers that were published in Europe about Islam,the fiction ones, it also took the muslims couple months to start complaining

Seriously though, the church does make a valid point about sony not asking for permission to use a landmark for such a detailed refernce, maybe this is the start of a whole new sling of cases where developers get sued for not asking permission from the owners of landmarks, especially since vivid digital reproductions of real world locations are now possible with todays graphics. After all you can hardly say that deny the similarity in detail to the actual location, with todays generation of graphics.

Retarded to be completely honest. I dont get the point of complaining. Do something like what the mayor of NYC did for GTA IV. Say one statement and thats it, dont whine and cry about it.

The church (and everyone else) should be more chill about these things. They can just be like "just let us tell you if we like it or not before you do anything, 'kay?" instead of bitching waaaaaaay late.



PS: lol for the news broadcasts of the church. They're being a buncha bitches... asking for "donations" apparently.

EDIT:: I hate Fox News' previews now... they said that the Church wanted donations, and then in the actual story they had nothign was mentioned about it... my bad.

A correction to that, in the UK it's been out for less than 3 months so it is unlikely that the church would know about if it happens america first. Also there is the possibility that they only found out about this after they got told by a relative of a victim perhaps, in which case makes this a bit more sensitive than you seem to be making it out to be. Also the church isn't coming on like Jack Thompson or anything.

Point, but the fact of the matter is that anyone can claim anything influenced their actions. As is the apparant case for the whole Manhunt blamed death. Plus with the issue at hand it seems they should be placing as much emphasis on any general FPS than just Resistence that uses a church, or a gun for violence, as the view from them I got from reading that article any violence with a gun in a videogame is insensitive and incourages the use of such violence.
Personally I don't think Sony should have to pay anything because of this whole fiasco. An apology at the most

I laughed so hard at that. Honestly am I the only one that finds that off in context to what the game is actually based? From my understanding the alien invasion is like the alternate what if for WWII in Europe so naturally there would be well known landmarks in it.

Also if the game has only been out for about 3 months then I really don't see what they have to complain about, other than the person with property ownership of that church. Plus there is the whole fact that Sony didn't make the game Insomniac Games did, sony just distributed so if anyone is to blame it's Insomniac.
