my ranking of my favorites of all the final fantasy games ive played. (i judge games based more on story, then gameplay, then finally grahpics. graphcs is good and all but a good looking game with a mediocre story is not that good)

8.final fantasy 10-2 <- final fantasy x-2 was so bad. it was just a pure excuse for square to milk more money from the popularity of ffx. its basically for guys who fell in love with the girls in ff10 and a fan service to them (ie. the dress spheres, them changing clothes in the middle of battle

Except FF VIII which should be on position 7, everything is in correct order .^^ (hollywood messed up your mind :P )

It probably didn't help I played it only a year ago. Gameplay and plot are crap by today's standards.

Lots of games from the N64 and PSX era are like that... I can't play Ocarina of Time or Metal Gear Solid anymore just because it's soooo clunky compared to what we have today.

whatta matter? Eastern RPG takes too much skill? (ok...I was being an ass, yes I know.) I'm just pissed that Suikoden IV lowered its standard so much because a lot of westerners complain that the 3rd one was too damn hard.
Chances are, you'd probably best stick with 360 and avoid PS3 and REV like the plauge--it won't have the heavy characterization and free roaming enviroment that you like. All Eastern games are that way, I daresay.

hate it for it, 6 was the ideal....

I'm not going to bother since it's an RPG Maker game with a Robo sprite from Chrono Trigger in the background.

What the hell are you talking about, the dress sphere system sucked fat hairy ass, I got so bored of the game, I stuck on cheats and played to the end of the game just cos I was curious about the story (which also sucked fat hairy ass), in fact the only reason I still have the game is because it's a final fantasy game (so it at least has some pedigree). To all the fan boys out there (like me), don't worry I would ever even consider cheating on ff7 had I not completed it first; those who cheat on the first play through can go wipe their asses with a rusty wire brush.
