Remakes are awesome. Assuming people are talking about FF7 you saw the trailer right?

that's way old school, that's where all the initial speculation came from. As of now, its just ppl beggin square to remake it.

What for? So how'd he finish his Mafia game?

Vol took over SD's role....but there was like just 2 - 3 days left in the game when SD got banned....and if i remember correctly SD posted something in "the best of holy sentinel's thread" that had a link that was inappropriate.

I do not think they will be making a remake anytime soon. It is team Nomura the one that makes FFVII, and that group is busy with Crisis Core, FFXIII, and vsXIII. After that, they may get started with a possible KH3, and judging by Dirge of Cerberus' ending, a sequel for that game too. Therefore, no time to make a remake.
-
Who said they need tea nomura? the design is already in place, they just need to make it next gen.

Concurred. I mean, I don't think the higher ups of Square Enix would sleep well at night knowing that there's still an ounce of milk left in the huge teat that is FFVII.
Edit:
Oh and if they do remake the game, as well as add some features that would make it less monotonous to play (gambits) then I'll probably finally be able to finish the game.

I actually quite enjoyed the level grinding (which to me is the only monotonous part of the game). If you grind early in the game, it becomes much less of a chore (I had all of aeris's limit breaks before I even went up to gold saucer).
-
^ agreed. Thats exactly what i did too.
Cloud already had his level 3 limit breaks and well....pretty much everyone else. Also stealing helped out A LOT earlier in the game, since there were a few very good things to steal. A few weapons, and then there was ether that you could steal to make A LOT of money early in the game.
