Thread: For Zelda fans who cleared TP

I wish there were +40" Hylian Loaches to fish.

Yeah they make em out to be legendary fishes and stuff, but when you catch one they end up being only just bigger than a bass, catfish or pike, whatever they have here.

I thought she was way better than Zelda. Zelda hasn't had enough of a tomboy quality to her for a while now, for me anyway. I don't see why they always need to put her back in the pretty dresses at some point. What was wrong with the way Tetra looked already, or with Sheik? I thought Zelda's dress was cooler in A Link to the Past, when it was a bit more plain and practical. :/

But maybe I'm just saying this because I was disappointed by Zelda's role in TP. She's wearing armor and has a sword - I was expecting more than just the one scene, when she uses a bow instead. I wanted some sword fighting!

I think you might have just hit on what bugs me so much about the later games...they don't take long enough, and not all of that is a product of the amount of dungeons or the length of them (although some of the bosses could stand to be harder, for sure). It's all the in-between stuff that hasn't been fleshed out as much as I'd like. When I first opened the map in TP I was really excited to see how big it was, but by the end it doesn't feel that big at all. There are some areas that you really only visit once, and the fields...well, there really just wasn't that much there to find. I always go back to LttP for my measuring stick, since it was my favourite, and maybe that makes my view point a bit biased, but I liked how the space was used in that game. Every screen had something to do or find on it. The mountain, instead of just being a plain mountain you have to climb up (once, too), is full of areas that you can only get to at much later points in the game, and secret caves and hiden dungeons - the works. I miss that.

I still think Windwaker should've had underwater exploration. C'mon, zora armor! Perfect setting! Blargh.


And I want to join in on the fishing conversation, but the truth is...I stank at it. >____>

^It's not that hard, and you can use the sinking lure, it's fun and the fish love it.

Yeah they need to do a sequel emphasizing on fishing, it would be cool if there is a giant fish on Lake Hylia, it is a huge lake, but there is no big fish at all.

What really pissed me off about fishing was that you had to go through 8 fucking irritating levels of roll goal just to be able to have the ability to catch the Loach. Then when you do get it interested and get it biting, the damn lure doesn't catch. I tried using that damn frog for a while before I said fuck it and got the sinking lure. Had a much easier time catching it then.

I don't think I ever bothered with the fishing, but my brother fished out a boot(classy), a twig(there wre trees around, duh), and an empty bottle(zomg!). I think he even got a lure that way, too.

The fact that no matter what happens, Zelda has to go back into her glamorous princessy self kinda bugs me, but then we don't getr htat sense of "OMFG SHE'S ROYALTY" is hse stays the way she is. Still, the Tetra twist in WW wqas my favorite if them all.

I really thought that she'd have a bigger role with her sword in hand, other than being possessed and flying around like she popped out of the Exorcist.Though I am impressesd that she managed to keep her balance on horseback while Link was GALLOPING AT FREAKING FULL SPEED TO SLICE GANON UP ON HIS DAMN HORSEY!!.

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention that I have the N64, which turns on but doesn't display the game or sound. It works only when it wants to. It's possessed, I swear.

Honestly, my favorite dungeon would have to be the Arbiter's Grounds. I guess I like skeletons with huge cleavers.
