    I'd say a definate yes. If you like Tri-Ace games (Star Ocean, Raidiata Story etc) you'll love this. It's not for everybody, but it's worth looking into.

    Me too, would say yes. If you like Star Ocean 3 and Radiata Stories, then this games is another one for you. Not to mention Tri-Ace like to bring cameos from their other series, like Dirna Hamilton from Star Ocean 3, and Gabriel Celeste/Ethereal Queen from the original Valkyrie Profile Lenneth.

    oh.... i didn't know Gabriel appears in another game

    -deuce: yeah, it's worth it. you can at least download it or something because it is HARD and EXPENSIVE to get (at least Valkyrie Profile 1)

    -siden: nice photo in your sig. I just knew she wasn't Lenneth, mostly because of her eyes ^^. man i want to play it again... and later play VP2 ;_;

    Yeah VP 1 was veeeery hard to get these day, since it appear when PS2 was about to come out...I was lucky to get my hand on the game when I browse a local gamestore at my place 2 years ago...

    @Zaephyr: Yes Gabriel was there in VP2, the first boss in seraphic gate (excluding Dirna). He also appear in Radiata Stories and Star Ocean 3, along with Ethereal Queen and Lenneth.

    btw, the pic in my sig is Hrist Valkyrie.
    Here's her full pic:

    That's why I love her, haha.

    There're total of 3 Valkyrie; Hrist being the eldest, then Lenneth and the youngest is Silmeria.
    We already know that Lenneth is somewhat the reincarnation of Platina, and Silmeria is supposed to be the reincarnation of Alicia the main character of VP Silmeria (but certain things happened, causing her to awaken inside Alicia body), while for Lenneth...I don't know about her past.

    So to sum up, only 1 valkyrie is supposed to exist at one time and in VP2 case, it' should be Hrist. But then SIlmeria suddenly awaken, thus stating the conflict between the Valkyrie, until Lezard Valeth (yeah, he was there again) come intefering, which eventually also draw Lenneth from the future to come to the present time.

    Well, story wise I'd say get VP:Lenneth first, because somethings certainly won't make sense, and the awesomeness of seeing some characters is cheapened. But if you don't care much for the story then VP:Silmeria is definately tops for gameplay and progression of the story.

    Both are great games, but if I had to weigh them up I'd say get VP:Silmeria.

    It doesn't really matter actually which one do you want to play first. Yeah the story of the PS2 takes place long before events in PSP, but certain events happened in VP2 comes as the result of ragnarok in VP1 (need to get ending A to understand). But the story is still not that complex if you didn't play the PSP version though...
    If you look for game with great gameplay and system, then go for VP2 for PS2.
