my mind was blown... and i dont even like the GTA series that much O____O

My first question is where is it?
Secondly I just can't get excited about a trailer unless it has actual in game footage (tiny game engine clips are not good enough, I want to see gameplay).

Its set in... *drumroll*... NEW YORK CITY!!!! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Isn't that Liberty City in the GTA universe?

I never played III so I don't know for sure, but that would be the equivalent right?

it says liberty city on the boat, but i recognize all the landmarks: The statue of liberty, the staten island ferry terminal, south street seaport, the brooklyn bridge, the chrysler building, the flat iron building, times square, the L train, trinity church, the metlife building, the manhattan bridge... etc, its all in the trailer XD

I don't understand how somebody who is not a fan of this series, could appreciate the trailer so much. But whatever.

Seems like Rockstar really did a good job with their new graphics, this is the one aspect of the game I had doubts about. The gameplay, 98, will be well the same as the last 4 or so games I'm sure. The style of gameplay is part of what makes the GTA series addictive.

Liberty city, I am sure will be just one of the islands playable, and obviously, as shown in the trailer, we now have New York. Game should be great, the previous ones got better and better with all the interactivity added, as well as the stories, characters and accessories. So I am sure that yet again RS will deliver even more of that.

I'm hoping there will be more cameos from previous main characters in this game.

I meant, I want to see actual game screens, I pretty much know what the gameplay will be like. I just want to see the game in action.

although i am not a fan of the series, i still respect it as a pillar in the gaming community, much like Final Fantasy, Gran turismo, Halo, Mario, or Zelda. ive had my fun with it but ive never owned a GTA game and i only play it sporadically. the only thing i really enjoyed in it was getting 6 stars then seeing who could last the longest against the army using a tank... i was good at evading the cops and i have good aim so id usually last over a half hour with 6 stars.

I always hated the graphics in gta games but respected it because i knew it was a tradeoff for the sheer size of the game world. I know that sequence was real time using the RAGE engine but honestly the graphics dont really impress me as much as FFXIIIs, DIRT, or Oblivion... but seem more akin to the graphical level of Heavenly Sword and Resistance... But i still dont mind, since i know the tradeoff will be for again the sheer size of the game world.

Er, one thing to remember. This is still not the final build.

And, hell yes for inside environs!

And seriously, the interactivity in this one, I think it'll be mind blowing.
And 98? That's real time graphics.

what bugs me is i dont think theyll finish this game by october 31st...
