Default Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars

    Hey, it came out yesterday.

    Has anyone got it yet?
I'm going to get it soon and I was just wondering if anybody had any first impressions about it?

Apparently its supposed to be "better" than Supreme Commander in terms of some reviews.

Its gotten a 9 on some review websites.

Lacks the epic grandeur of Supreme Commander.

Yeah, that's probably true, but the game is always fun and it seems to like its paced faster than supreme commander.

Supreme commander is not an original RTS. It's more like Total War style of RTS which you mass hundreds of units and use "rush" style tactics to overwhelm the enemy.

    No it's not.
    =\
Heck you could rush into my base with thousands of T3 gunships and I'd still be able to defeat that quite easily with carefully positioned T3 defense and knowing exactly what you are doing using radars and omnisensors.

SupCom is all about intelligence. Knowing exactly what your enemy is doing and how to counter everything.

Better just post your specs and await an apologetic shake of the head, or a happy nod.

Anyway, C&C 3 is awesome so far. But it's more of me being a fanboy of the Tiberium Saga. Go Kane, you bald bastard you.

Didn't bother with Generals though, so I don't know how it compares, but eh.

Here are the specs off for supreme commander off wiki:
    Minimum
1.8 GHz processor; 512 MB RAM; 128MB video RAM with DirectX 9 Vertex Shader/Pixel Shader 2.0 support; 8 GB free HD space; 56.6 Kbps Internet connection.
    Recommended
3.0 GHz processor; 1 GB RAM; Nvidia 6800, ATI X800 XL, ATI X1300 or better video card; 10 GB free HD space; broadband internet connection.
    Optimal
    Multi-core processor; multi monitor support.

Anyways, I got C&C3 and beat it. I must say that the AI is certainly smarter than it used to be. I love and hate the AI at the same time. Its pretty damn annoying at times, but its somewhat satisfying to see that the AI is trying to put up a fight.

My favorite faction are the Scrin. Massive amounts of air units, I like.
