OK, so its pretty much a assumed that MGS4 will eventually be ported to 360. But the other two franchises that were keeping me hanging onto the PS3 by a thread were (for me at least) Final Fantasy and Ace Combat.

Well first of all it appears that there is a possibility that Ace Combat 6 will appear on the 360 (along with Beautiful Katamari and Warhammer: Mark of Chaos).

Secondly, in a recent Gamespot interview with ex-SqaureEnix employee and Final Fantasy developer, Hironobu Sakaguchi, it is rumoured that the White Engine (which FF13 is being developed on) may be cross-platform. Which means that in theory it would be relatively easy to port FF13 to the 360.

So things look up for me at least (and also many FF fans =P), which is good as it means I will be able to save about £200 by not buying an ~£400 (over $800) PS3 and getting a 360 instead (which is around half the price of a PS3).
Now if only M$ can make something similar to Playstation Home.

I would not count on seeing FFXIII (at least the main game) come to the X360.
However, SquareEnix will probably have a spin-off (within the Fabula Nova Crystallis concept) on the X360 (and Wii), and there's also Mistwalker for JRPG's.

^ yeah i believe it's going to be more of spin off. Not saying it's going to be a poor game by chance, but something like FF crystal chronicles or something. =\

I could give a damn about Final Fantasy, all I want is MGS 4, hopefully they'll make it as cross-platform sooner.

FFXIII has already two (some sort of) spin offs: FF vs XIII, and another one for cellphones (like Before Crisis).

If the Final Fantasy series are ported to the Xbox 360, I may think of getting one in the future. Still, more than Final Fantasy, the one I want to be available on Xbox 360 is Devil May Cry.
