Home sounds awesome to me and cant wait to try it out, now only if i had a PS3![]()
Get it?
I wanna know how the game will be affected by the massive amounts of data streaming that will be needed. Most internet connections have crap upload speeds.
By paying very close attention to press releases and the sony website.
I wish SD could get in it. Then I could read his priceless comments on how it's a piece of crap and him wanting to set Kutaragi on fire for the 20th time.
Oh thanks Jy...wait is that a good thing or a bad thing...??? O_o
I like to die with the songs I love stuck in my head. I hope to make the most of these hollow bones we become.
I raise a toast to the the souls that sang all along. I've been gathering friends to just to make some sounds,
before the ship goes down, I've been making amends by making the rounds before the whole world ends

I'd imagine they'd do it the same way every other MMO game does it. All the client has to send to the server is their current position, direction they're facing, and any events (like the start of an animation), which would use only a very small amount of upstream bandwidth. Throw in a bit of client-side prediction code and nobody will know the difference.
Also, from experience these sorts of "games" get boring pretty quickly. Then again, I've been playing games for so long that most games do that to me.
EDIT: Ahh I see, you can stream music and photos. Both can be done with easily even with our limited upload speeds (there are Winamp plugins that allow you to stream music to other people like a radio station, and they work pretty damn well). I don't see it being a real problem.

it is intended for people that don't have a life to begin with
this sentence made me laugh though :
another article : http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/6429039.stmusers will also be allowed to share both music and videos with friends inside their private homes, which will most likely lead to some sort of underground pornography syndicate on the PlayStation Network.
