Thread: Chess Titans has the cheapest AI I've ever seen.

At the maximum difficulty setting, as soon as you get an advantage of eight to ten points, it will go to any lengths and look for a stalemate.

Eh, it doesn't put up any challenge to defeat me! The AI level is supposed to be at its highest and yet it can't beat me at all. It just concentrates on looking for a draw. That's uncool.

but it's at a disadvantage, so winning is going to be hard, so the best option is taking a draw.

One would expect that at the highest difficulty level, the AI would try and find a way to reverse the situation. That's what I try to do anyways.
Ten points isn't a real disadvantage.

yeah good point, but i mean given if it was real life, if the opponent doesnt do something that opens himself up, the best option is a draw.

The best option is win and it's really disappointing from the highest difficulty level AI to be at 8 points disadvantage so easily.
