Thread: Is NWN2 worth my money ?

Few year ago, I bought Neverwinter nights and I wasn't really pleased with it.
Since I don't really have time and people to play multiplayer, I played the single, which was dissatisfying. Missions were mostly boring, repeatable and it always fallowed one script :
1) Main base
2) 3 different location where you need to get ring or kill someone or something like that
3) Boss level -- next chapter -- see point 1.
And now appeared NWN2. I know from screenshots that this game looks pretty nice, but NWN looked nice too 4 years ago and it didn't make my time any better.
So the question is simple : Should I buy it or not ?
(BTW : I'm more a fan of previous works of Black Island like Planescape: Torment, Fallout - but even almost plot-less Morrowind was better than NWN for me..)

NWN never looked nice, not even 4 years ago. NWN 2 looks decent but its still pretty much the same thing. So if you didn't like the first game you probably won't like this one either.

NWN2 is pretty good. The plot is a lot better than in the first game, and less repetitive. The graphics aren't amazing, but the spell effects are very cool. The camera is crap, but you get to have more people with you this time around and can even add more with the code("rs ga_party_limit_# <----Even if you don't like cheating[like me], I reccomend this code). Overall, I think that, though the game has flaws, it is worth buying.

So at last, there is away to have more than one companion ? That's a huge breakthrough considering the first game (If I wanted to go around bashing alone skeletons like in NWN1, I would play Diablo which was more suitable for that).
Camera isn't the problem, I have experience with those.
..still, it's 99zł (20$)...considering there isn't any other RPG to buy right now...

Well you could always download it for free rofls, don't know your opinion on warez though, but thats what I would've done.

Warez is short for any software that is traded in violation of its copywrite licence (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warez). That means no requesting Windows XP downloads, Photoshop, MS Office, cracked games, or keygens. I don't even want them traded over PM here. Do it elseware other than this forum, or not at all. Better yet, look into free alturnatives (use OpenOffice.org Suite instead of MS Office, or the GIMP instead of Photoshop). Anyone caught requesting (an insinuation is good enough for me to act) or trading Warez here will be permanently banned from StopTazmo.

NWN2 is a great game, but if you want to stray away from the normal stuff then i suggest saving your money for now and buying the game after 4-5 months, that way most of the good community/user mods will be out. once you've put in the mods you like it should be able to entertain...even just a bit...

I know the rules and I did not provide him with any link or anything close to it, just stated that there is always the Warez way. which is not against the rules.

Yeah, AFAIK its only vol who bans people who suggest warez. I use warez myself, so I will only punish/ban if someone posts a link to warez.
