Thread: Shooter games for PS2

I'm looking for a shooter game, that has a lot of replay value. I dont really mind if its like a WW shooter with the old guns or a futuristic one like Killzone for example.

A shooting game with lots of replay value would be one that has online gameplay.
Since the online functionality of the PS2 is quite shitty, you are limited to SOCOM.
But if you do want a blast during your first time playing a game, I recommend Black.

I don't know what to tell you but after Jyuu said SOCOM I was reminded of a time where I was in line at EB games and a kid who was at most 9 or 10 years old was standing behind me and my friend with SOCOM and some money in his hands.

not really a FPS, but Metal Gear Solid.

I actually had a lot of fun with Starwars Battlefront 2 myself, though admittedly I was playing the conquest? mode where you wander around from planet to planet trying to take over the galaxy.

Black doesnt have replay value >.< but id reccomend it none the less. For serious replay id say go with Timesplitters 2 and 3.

Why on earth are people saying that Killzone on the PS3 will be awesome?
The one on the PS2 was passable and the PSP one is borderline playable.
