Ash was cake. I had a Fraligator, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Tyranitar, Ampharos and I can't remember my 6th Pokemon.

Abyssion: ToS Without an All-Divide and enough levels you would lose so fast.
Sword Dancer: ToS same as Abyssion

Demogorgon from Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal.

Marjoly and Ash were both easy... Gannon was so-so.

- A large number of the bosses in Super Mario World gave me trouble. (But I was young...)

- The Giant Looper from Skies of Arcadia. Stupid thing kept running away.

- Giacomo, Ayme and Folon (when aboard the Goldoba) from Baten Kaitos. This fight, is horrible. There's no way to level up in the dungeon, so you're either at a high enough level before going there, get lucky, or you have to restart the game. I was just at the minimum level the walkthrough I looked at recommended to take them, but it took SO many tries.

- Fadroh from Baten Kaitos. Here's a quote from Arbeast's walkthrough (link), which I read after beating him:

...it all changes when he puts down the mace and uses Orb of Magical Offense. Trust me, this is just deadly. His attacks will start doing 1200-1300 damage if you don't block them, and about 1000 if you do guard. It's almost impossible to win the fight if he immediately uses it since I forgot to mention he can also use two attacks in one turn. So if he does that, you might as well reset.

While he'll normally wait a while to use it, he used it on the first turn every time I fought him, so I thought he was supposed to. My copy must be cursed or something. I limped away from this fight, even when I did beat him (finally).

That guy killed me within a minute the first time I fought him. No joke. He pulled that move where he spins around or something and it was a complete slaughter.

I found Paragon and Trema in Final Fantasy X-2 the hardest boss I ever played against in any game =p. I got defeated like 10 times in a row and that's WITH catnip on gunner trick. But maybe because the other two weren't dark knights since I was to lazy to train them as dark knights. But he really was annoying...

We can't have a thread about hardest bosses without someone mentioning it, so here goes:

Emerald weapon.

I found Ruby weapon tougher than Emerald myself. All Emerald really required was a bit of preparation and an awful lot of patience. I didn't really have any trouble with any of the zelda:lttp bosses, in the dark world especially, though that was probably because I cheated by going and getting all the treasures from the dungeons before going back and fighting the bosses. Aside from the final boss in FF8 and Ruby weapon I can't really recall any other boss who made me curse and swear.

Edit: Forgot trying to defeat M. Bison as Dhalsim in the original SF2 on the snes.

That guy from Zelda: Oracle of Seasons that you hit with a metal ball... I keep remembering him.

Also Woodman from MegaMan Battle Network. (I found some old GBA games yesterday and... yeah.) He's not supposed to be that hard, but I just can't manage to defeat him even at a high level. Such a pain. T___T
