I agree with you, dead red, after building my own, spending the time to look into the different parts and what was a good deal(cost, performance, reliability, and warranty wise), I can't ever go back to buying a pre-built system, and not knowing what is in your PC, or how well the individual parts are made. It's just...wrong.

I remember, even Dell used to have 90 days standard warranty for their lowest class laptop, and the worst thing is they, the customer service, make it hard for you to get it repaired/exchanged.
